OBIFD Hosts Red Cross Blood Drive at the Orr’s Island School House

Two OBIFD Board Members, Melinda Richter and Beth York, worked with the American Red Cross Blood Services to create a blood drive at the Orr’s Island School House on May 29.  The Red Cross was extremely pleased with the number of blood units collected.  Geoff Allen, Account Manager for Donor Recruitment in Maine, thanked Melinda and Beth for a job well done. “Your efforts in organizing and support are truly appreciated.  On behalf of the patients in our community, please pass along our sincere thanks to everyone who donated.”    Plans are already underway for another blood drive at the School House in September.
